I have had the old version of the 100-400 for a couple of years and used it primarily for wildlife. I got the new version two days ago. This version is so much better. The sharpness is far superior to the old 100-400mm. I took some test shots handheld of a desert table 50 yards away and could clearly read a typed card on the table from the full enlargement on my 7d screen. The image stabilization is terrific and the optics are very sharp, wide open at f5.6 and a 1/30 second at 400mm.

Miałem starą wersję 100-400 przez kilka lat ktora wykorzystywalem przede wszystkim robiac dzikie zwierzeta . Dostalem nową wersję dwa dni temu . Ta wersja jest o wiele lepsza. Ostrość znacznie przewyzsza stare 100-400mm . Zrobilem kilka zdjęć próbnych z ręki stolu z odleglosci 50 yardow i mozna było wyraźnie przeczytać karte na stole z pełnego rozszerzenia na moim 7d ekranie . Stabilizacja obrazu jest wspaniała i optyka jest bardzo ostre , szeroko otwarte na F5.6 i 1/30 sekundy na 400 mm

B&H ma wysylac kolejna partie przed swietami, moze sie zalapie. Nie moge sie doczekac.
