Wygląda na to, że urządzenia będą miały jeden feler - będą łączyły się bezprzewodowo z elektroniką wpiętej do aparatu lampy głównej lub ST-E2 i wykorzystywały ich ustawienia, np. grupowanie lamp z ST-E2. Oznacza to, że nie można będzie takiego radiopoppera wpiąć do aparatu ZAMIAST lampy. Trzeba już wcześniej mieć lampę-mastera lub kontroler IR.

"Not only does the P1 transmitter send ETTL via radio, but it does so with no electrical connections, wires, adaptors, or even a light sensor connected to the master flash. Imagine that.
So how *does* it work then?
The new and improved P1 actually reads the brief magnetic pulse produced by the master flash as it blinks it’s optical signal. The little lightning bolt generated inside the master flash, ST-E2, whatever - becomes a little electro-magnet for a few billionths of a second. Ale za to Radiopopper ma zamiar uruchomić też produkcję RadioPopper JR:
nie będzie w nim ETTL, nie będzie bezprzewodowego łączenia się z elektroniką lampy master. Zwykły radiowy trigger. Ale za to ma kosztować 25 dolców!!!
