Przed rozpoczęciem sprawdzania komputera pod względem możliwości uruchomienia na nim systemu Windows Vista należy odłączyć wszystkie urządzenia USB oraz inne dołączane urządzenia zewnętrzne (takie jak drukarki, zewnętrzne dyski twarde i skanery), które są regularnie używane na badanym komputerze.

Ale można to pominąć, tylko więcej urządzeń pojawi się z ostrzerzeniem.
