Innata Seduzione, I had two 1600 watt strobes, one on each side of the car, about ten feet away, shooting through translucent white umbrellas. The image well lit in the original, but to make the colors pop, I added saturation and boosted the contrast of the orange, as well as fading down the blue of the wall, to make the orange that much more vibrant.
And as for Checkers- that's all natural lighting.
It was just shot under a bridge, so the reflections are very clean, as all it was reflecting was the dark bridge and the bright sky. Nothing else to get in the way.
